Dasie Bridgewater Hope Center 3^rd Annual Tea by the Sea

 

 

 

 

Dasie Hope Center’s Girls With A Future couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to sip a cup of tea and enjoy entertainment than on Saturday March 12, 2011. At 12noon, the temperature outside was a welcoming 77 degrees and the sun was shining beautifully as Dasie Bridgewater Hope Center marveled at their 3^rd Annual Tea by the Sea hosted by Disney’s Vero Beach Resort in the Sea Grape Room. Last year’s theme was Tea With Princess Tiana and this year’s theme was Dancing With Disney’s Pixie Fairies of Hallow. The room boasted with bright flowers, colorful butterflies migrated the walls, and textured greenery filled the room creating a mystical scene right out of the movie.

 

  Allen Chapel A.M.E Church Rev. Seena Washington, of West Palm Beach, FL. was the guest speaker who delivered a very inspirational message to girls about illuminating inner beauty while residing in their own individuality. Attendants were dawned in detailed spring hats and formal dresses, a ceremonial tradition of Tea by the Sea, and the girls performed a ballet showcase to Waltz of the Flower from the Nutcracker in their fairy costumes to conclude. Girls With A Future is one of many gender specific mentoring programs offered at Dasie Hope Center that encourages and promotes positive self-awareness, self-imaging, and community service involvement. Thanks to the magnitude of assistance from generous volunteers, sponsors, and staff Dasie Hope Center has sustained another successful event.
