Tap Dance Classes

 

 

Dasie Hope Center is proud to introduce " The Dancing Dasies". Volunteer Mr. Marc Dodson, has been teaching weekly tap dance classes to our youth. It is such a joy to sit and watch them practice. The room fills with music, giggles and tapping sounds. The children are very excited about learning a new style of dance. They get on the stage and put forth their very best effort. Due to the high cost of tap shoes, the children wore their sneakers for the first few lessons. But through the generous donation of a few Dasie Hope friends, most of the children in the group now have their own tap shoes. Our dance instructor, Mr. Marc, has quite an impressive history in dance. He has worked alongside Ann Miller, Bobby Van, Ed Ames, Lucie Arnaz, Dirk Benedict, Fred Grandy, ‘Sinefeld’s’ Estelle Harris and Academy Award Winner Don Ameche. As well as an excellent instructor, Mr. Marc has also performed, choreographed and designed costumes for many theatre groups. We are glad to have Mr. Marc volunteer his time and talent to the Dasie Hope kids!
